FRESH DURIAN

FRUIT: Durian
SMELL: Overripe cheese, rotting fish, unwashed socks, a city dump on a hot summer day.
Let me tell you alittle something about the durian. It’s a fruit that is considered delicious by most of Asia. However, most people in the West do not even touch it with a 15 foot pole because it has a overpowering smell that is difficult to describe. In fact, there are some airlines and hotels in Southeast Asia that do not allow occupants to enter with durian in their possessions. The actual fruit has a very thick and pointy husk and you have to open it with a machete. The color is yellowish green. The flesh is rich in flavor and soft like cheese. Anyways, my dad and I enjoyed this unique experience…in the garage. The last time we had enjoyed durian together was in the Philippines nearly 15 years ago. It was great! The problem now is that I have these burps that…..well, you can only imagine.

gross burps eh?! I think I would have to question the "fresh" on the container... they don't sound so fresh. And considering the fact that you had to eat it in the garage says a lot for the smell.

YES! You are right, Mel. I told them they couldn't bring it in the house because it stinks so bad. So they were in the garage chowing down! Heidi

blah....I think the pole would have to be 100 feet long for me to touch that stuff :) Did they really like it or was it just an event for the men out in the garage...? (for those who are wild at heart)

It sounds like an adventure for the brave in heart and mind. It inspires those of us with the weak knees or perhaps that is noses that others can do the impossible in this case! Have a Happy Sabbath. Love, Dad and Mother

-roll tape-

Take it or leave it.
Love it or hate it.
Run away or dive into.
Swallow it or vomit it.
Eat it or trash it.

DURIAN - it's only black or white.

Durian is yummy. My family buys the frozen stuff from the Oriental market that has already been prepared. I grew up eating durian cake that my grandparents brought back from Thailand with them. Mmmmm... I guess that's why I can stand the stuff now. :-)

Thank you for the testimony!

Want to sign a contract with SAMN (see commercial sample above)?

Sure, I'll do a commercial. BUT. I must be paid in cash, not in durian. :-D

I had Durian only once -- a frozen variety. I'll never forget the horrid smell. I could hardy get it to my mouth. I don't remember the taste. Maybe I should have plugged my nose while I ate it.

Эй, толпа! Вы сколько тут написали? Такое чувство, как якобы люди из желтого дома тут побывали. независимый строительный портал
